Terms of Use
The plain-language terms for using Milo
Effective 5 August 2026
These terms set the ground rules for Milo. By using the app or this website, you agree to them.
What Milo is
Milo is an iPhone app and website for learning Hebrew vocabulary. We may change, improve, or discontinue parts of the service as we develop it.
Who may use Milo
You may use Milo if you can enter into these terms where you live. If you are under the age required to do that yourself, use Milo only with a parent or legal guardian’s permission.
Your permission to use Milo
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Milo for your own, non-commercial learning. This does not give you ownership of the app, its dictionary, or its content.
Use Milo responsibly
- Do not copy, scrape, sell, rent, redistribute, reverse engineer, or try to extract Milo’s dictionary, software, or design, except where applicable law expressly allows it.
- Do not interfere with the service, bypass security controls, or use Milo in a way that harms other people or our systems.
- Do not use Milo’s name, logo, or content in a way that suggests our endorsement without written permission.
Learning content
Milo is an educational tool, not a dictionary of record, translation service, school, or professional advice. Language changes and entries can contain mistakes. Check an authoritative source when accuracy matters, including for legal, medical, academic, or professional work.
Availability and updates
We aim to keep Milo useful and available, but do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or iOS version. We may release updates; some features may require the latest version.
Apple and the App Store
If you download Milo from the App Store, Apple’s terms also apply to your download and purchases. Apple is not responsible for Milo or for addressing claims about it. To the extent these terms conflict with Apple’s mandatory terms, Apple’s terms control for that issue.
Fees and purchases
Milo may offer paid features in the future. Any price, billing period, and cancellation terms will be shown before you buy. App Store purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s payment and refund rules.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information from the app and website. It is part of these terms.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milo is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not make warranties about uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Milo. Nothing in these terms limits liability that law does not allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Milo changes or the law requires. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice in the app or on the website. Continuing to use Milo after the new terms take effect means you accept them.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, except where the consumer-protection law where you live requires otherwise. The competent courts in Israel have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right you have to bring a claim elsewhere.
